Merlin Guitar

The Merlin will be a step up the ladder from the Asian Dragon Guitar in terms of the amount of detail and special effects and will be a more original piece (the Asian dragon is based on Chinese woodcuts) The inlays will feature the thin shell (Smoke and Mirrors) effect and smaller details.

Tentative guitar specs:

Top - Bearclaw Spruce

Back and sides - AAA Brazilian Rosewood (a very special set!)

Abalone trim (45 style)

Tortoise shell binding

Inlay patterns

Price estimate:

Guitar - $16,550.00 (Includes abalone trim but before inlays)
Inlays - 200 - 250 hours

I am doing a similar pattern for C.F. Martin so I will change it around a bit for this Leach Custom. The Martin will have a different pickguard, but very similar fretboard and headstock so the Leach will have a new design for the fretboard and headstock (maybe King Arthur on the headstock...)
